CamBiz™: A Company Directory

Increase your visibility, increase your networking possibilities.

As a member of Cambridge Who’s Who you are provided with an online profile to showcase your accomplishments and endeavors. It’s the page where you explain who you are, what you do and what has motivated you to become successful in your career. Your profile also includes your photo, contact information and any other relevant biographical information you decide to share. So, if you have all of that, then what is CamBiz™ and why do you need it?

The Cambridge Business (CamBiz™) directory is a special section of
www.cambridgewhoswho.com where Cambridge Who’s Who members can highlight their place of business. Not only is CamBiz™ a business directory, but it also facilitates networking; members use CamBiz™ as a resource when they are looking for potential service providers, vendors and business partners. By profiling your business in CamBiz™, you open yourself up to new business relationships and clients. We also encourage you to use the directory as a quick way to search for and find members who you may be interested in networking with. Being active within the Cambridge Who’s Who online networking community by utilizing tools such as CamBiz™ will generate more contacts for you and your company.

Unlike your personal profile (which is all about you), CamBiz™ focuses solely on your company. Here you can include a mission statement, an expanded description of your business and its core products and services and an image of the logo. You can also list your company’s full contact information, including a mailing address, phone number, fax number, email address and website URL. Another great feature of CamBiz™ is that your listing is directly linked to your profile, so that members who view your business listing can follow a link back to your personal page to find out more information about you. CamBiz™ gives you additional exposure while providing you with an outlet to promote your company. This is particularly valuable for our entrepreneurs, consultants and freelancers.

CamBiz™ has one other extra benefit: free advertising. If you offer a Cambridge member discount in your CamBiz™ profile, you will receive an advertisement listed in the “Exclusive Offers” section of the left-hand sidebar. Exclusive offers rotate throughout the members-only pages of the website and provide direct links to CamBiz™ listings, thus drawing more attention to your business and personal profiles. Furthermore, members who offer a discount to their fellow Cambridge members are considered for the Featured Business section of Who’s News, the Cambridge Who’s Who newsletter.

CamBiz™ profile are also listed on the My Cambridge page of the website. This brings you additional exposure based on the industries you indicate in your listing. Members have the option of customizing their homepage by selecting the industries they are interested in so that only relevant information is displayed on their My Cambridge page. Make sure you select the appropriate industries when completing your CamBiz™ application so that you appear on My Cambridge.

Ready to submit a CamBiz™ listing?
Follow these steps and download the CamBiz™ Instructions and Guidelines.

  1. Log into www.cambridgewhoswho.com using your assigned username and password.

  2. On the “My Cambridge” page, select the CamBiz™ link that appears in the horizontal navigation bar along the top of your screen.

  3. Select the “Post Your Business” button.

  4. Fill out the application form.

  5. Once your application has been approved (allow 24 to 48 hours for review) it will be listed in CamBiz™.
We look forward to seeing your business in CamBiz™. General questions about the directory may be directed to
techsupport@cambridgewhoswho.com. Questions regarding a particular business profile should be sent to networking@cambridgewhoswho.com. If you have any suggestions for improvements, please let us know! We’d love to hear your feedback and comments.

Two pictures now make your profile twice as nice.
Great News! Cambridge Who’s Who now enables members to display two images in their online profile; one primary image and another secondary image. With two pictures you can add even more personality to your profile by showing off your company logo in addition to putting a face with your name.

If you have submitted multiple images to us in the past, your secondary image will now automatically appear in your profile. If you would like to add an image, you can upload it directly online or email it to images@cambridgewhoswho.com. "His art speaks for itself, inspiring, haunting and talented. Ivan faces many day to day obstacles from his battle with the disease of Muscular Dystrophy. This man has overcome so much, but the day to day medical expenses, special equipment not only for mobility, but also to continue creating his artwork can at times be overwhelming. "

View the incredible talent he displays. "His art speaks for itself, inspiring, haunting and talented. Ivan faces many day to day obstacles from his battle with the disease of Muscular Dystrophy. This man has overcome so much, but the day to day medical expenses, special equipment not only for mobility, but also to continue creating his artwork can at times be overwhelming." His paintings are his livelihood, if you are as moved as I was by Ivan's story purchasing his art will be a great tribute to an incredible artist and human being.

Expanded Biography Ivan P. Dobranic

Ivan Dobranic was born in Nice, France in 1960. He moved to Chicago with his parents. At the age of 6, he was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, and has spent most of his life in a wheelchair. He continued to develop his artistic talents and majored in art with three years at St. Xavier College. His first two one man exhibitions were at St. Xavier College and the Beverly Art center in 1987. His work was then shown on the muscular dystrophy telethon in 1988, 1989 and 1990.

In 1990 the family moved to Sarasota, Florida to better accommodate the progressive nature of his disease. He now requires a ventilator to breathe, and has only limited movement in two fingers of his left hand. Despite all this he continues to overcome every setback with his unfailing optimism and the caring support of his family.

His determination and creative spirit shine through his painstakingly crafted oil paintings and drawings. Dobranic as filled his life with paintings; he favors realistic landscape genre, and succeeds in imbuing them with a peaceful serenity. Each painting is characterized by rich color harmonies, sometimes somber and brooding, sometimes bright and cheerful. His work speaks of a focus of energy, a spirit that will not accept limits.

In Florida, Dobranic has exhibited in several one man and group art shows:

Dobranic was chosen in 1999 to represent Florida at the Art and Soul Festival in Los Angeles CA.
"Dobranic over comes disability to paint with a passion... His landscapes are expert, even haunting... His control in picture making is remarkable." Joan Altabe, art critic, Sarasota Herald Tribune.
"It was such a pleasure showing your beautiful work at my gallery." Gale Fulton Ross, artist and gallery owner.
"Dobranic conveys a sunny optimism in his work." Roberta Nelson, Herald features writer.
"Dobranic's paintings are remarkably beautiful in their own right, and incredible when seen in the context of his special strength." Brent Wall, Art Instructor at St. Xavier College.

Cambridge Who's Who Names George A. Furness, Jr. Executive of the Year in International Wildlife Living Resources Conservation

George A. Furness, Jr. President of the Conservation Treaty Support Fund, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in International Wildlife Living Resources Conservation.

New York, NY (PRWeb) February 6, 2007 -- George A. Furness, Jr. President of the Conservation Treaty Support Fund, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in International Wildlife Living Resources Conservation. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who is an honor, only one member in each discipline is named the Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year. a large percentage of the world's medicines are derived directly or indirectly from wild plants and animals. Each species lost can mean a dramatic cure unrealized. Each cure found can mean a new crop or a new industry for a developing country.
Cambridge Who's Who & Tiger Portrait

The lists of George A. Furness, Jr. accomplishments include former US Foreign Service Officer, Deputy Director, Office of Ecology and Conservation and International Wildlife and Conservation Officer. He was also in charge of the US International Visitor Program and Office of International Conferences. Mr. Furness served in Vietnam, France, Ireland and Japan. He also served as Secretary of the Board of the Audubon Naturalist Society.

CTSF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping international wild living resources conservation agreements. Over 150 nations, representing most of the peoples of the world, have adhered to these treaties, pledging their best efforts to ensure the maintenance of our natural heritage, for its own sake and for the benefit of people.

The unique mission of the Conservation Treaty Support Fund (CTSF) is to support major inter-governmental treaties which conserve wild natural resources for their own sake and the benefit of people. The Fund believes these undertakings have the best potential for global conservation because they stem from the will of the nations of the world and are premised on the goal of sustaining living natural resources.

The vital importance of conserving the environment and rapidly disappearing wild natural resources is now universally recognized as essential for sustaining the livelihood and quality of life of mankind. For example," a large percentage of the world's medicines are derived directly or indirectly from wild plants and animals. Each species lost can mean a dramatic cure unrealized. Each cure found can mean a new crop or a new industry for a developing country."

The future of the human populations of developing countries depends largely on their capacity to husband natural resources, either for internal consumption or external trade. We must ensure that native peoples have positive motivation to preserve endangered species and their habitats. This can only be secured through international cooperation.

June D. Maule Named Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in Aviation

June D. Maule president of Maule Air Inc., has been named Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in Aviation.

New York, NY (PRWeb) Feburary 5, 2007 -- June D. Maule president of Maule Air Inc., has been named Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in Aviation. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who is an honor, only one member in each discipline is named the Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee hand picks these special Who's Who honorees based on accomplishments, academic achievement, leadership, and service.

1941 the B.D. Maule Company was formed in Napoleon, Michigan to build a light aircraft tailwheel which B.D. (June Maule’s late husband) had designed. 1946, B.D. and June Maule purchased a farm near Napoleon, Michigan. With the help of their two oldest children, they converted it to an airport. In the process, they had the dubious honor of leveling a dog race track which had been operated by Al Capone. The airport flourished, being used for flight training during the initial post-war aviation boom.

In 1995 Maule was the third largest producer of single engine aircraft in the U.S. In 1996, the Maule factory produced 64 aircraft, and employs 76 people. Some employees have been with the company over 29 years. This experience is realized in the quality of each handcrafted Maule airplane. Maule has produced over 1800 aircraft since its inception.

Family plays a large part in the operation of the company, which employs wife June, four children, two spouses of children, and two grandchildren. Through decades of sometimes difficult years, B.D. had a constant supporter in his wife June. She has worked steadily at his side through all of the ups and downs the company has experienced. She has filled the position of Purchasing Agent since the inception of the company, and has been the company owner since the death of Mr. Maule.

At the time of his passing in 1995, Belford D. Maule held the worldwide distinction of being the only founder, owner (with wife, June), and manager of an existing aircraft manufacturing company. He was a noted aviation pioneer. Over a span of 53 years, B.D. remained in total control of the operation of the company as well as the technical development of the product, up until his death. Mr. Maule continued to fly his airplanes quite frequently even into his 80’s. He was an excellent example of a successful individualist, entrepreneur, and self-made man and received the deserved respect of many people in the aviation world.

When doing the research on Melody, I found out that not only is she deaf. She is a paraplegic, she is a veteran having served in the army. To read exerts from her website such as:

"I am deaf now, as a result of a explosion at work, and have fought for the Rights of Very-Low Income, Disabled people, to the point that I brought suit against the city of San Buena Ventura, Ca., and even ran for City Council. But the whole time I was doing this, I was fighting the clock. You see, I was infected with Hep.C., back on November 6, 1986, and was not diagnosed until November 6, 1993. And I ended up on the streets, in a wheelchair, fighting to stay alive, and get housing, so I could get TREATMENT for the Hep.C. But it was a futile fight, because unknown to me, when you hit the 19 year mark, and if you have other Medical problems, the Combination Drug Therapy is not helpful. It does not work."

Melody is truly an inspiration for all and we are proud to announce her inclusion as an Honored Member of Cambridge Who's Who.
